Trainer Recipe Burger Bowl

Life Transformations Personal Training in Lee’s Summit, MO shares healthy recipes for our clients and the community.  Check out this recipe for a Burger Bowl.  This recipe can be cooked on the stovetop or made with leftovers in the fridge. Enjoy all the flavors of a burger in a healthy bowl!  This healthy burger bowl makes a quick and easy dinner or lunch for yourself or the family.

INGREDIENTS

Cooked Lean Ground Beef

1/2 c rice (white or brown)

1 serving ketchup

1 serving mustard

Diced pickles

Diced onion (yellow or purple)

Shredded Lettuce or Romaine

 

*Mix ingredients together and enjoy!  Great with leftover ground beef.

*Make it easy by using Bens Original Ready Rice Pouch.

*Change it up to your liking.  Try some of the Optional Topping below:

Optional Toppings

Sliced Avocado

Sub olive oil mayo, honey mustard, Lite Thousand Island dressing as a condiment

Sub ground turkey for ground beef

Low Sodium Bacon Bits/Pieces

Diced Tomatoes

Shredded Cheese

*Make it low carb, swap rice for lettuce to make a burger salad!

 

Making a Burger Bowl can be unique to everyone in your family.  After the beef and rice, everyone can pick their own toppings.
