Life Transformations Lee’s Summit Personal Trainer, Joel Frazee shares some fitness tips.
Shocking the body for shocking results
So many times at the beginning of my fitness journey
I have found myself frustrated and ready to quit.
I am sure a lot of you out there feel the same way.
You push and you push and run and run to no end;
all to find yourself in a state of insanity and seeing no new results.
Our body is an amazing and very incredibly built machine,
that learns to adapt to whatever we put it through.
Just because what you are doing now isn’t working
does not mean it won’t work again down the road.
This is where we have to learn to try and out smart
Our bodies as long as possible by shocking them
For runners, lifters and endurance athletes
switching up our routine regularly will stop
our bodies from adapting to our training.
This will allow us to keep making quicker times, heavier lifts,
see changes in our physiques, and get better at our sports.
Don’t give up, don’t stop and be what we were made to be
Be creative and resourceful in your training and switch
things up often as possible.
Here are some tips for lifters and endurance athletes.
For lifting
- Change up your rep volume every couple weeks
- Change up the rate of speed in your reps
- Do long holds At the peak of rep and slower negatives
- Always switch up the weight and reorganize your set list
Runners/ endurance sports
- Switch up the speed doing sprints
- Go off road take it to a trail
- Find some hills and run up and down them
Stay creative and shock the body and get shocking results from it!
