Downtown Lee’s Summit is full of great restaurants. In the personal training business, we try to help our clients eat healthy, while enjoying time with friends and family. This can involve eating out. But, eating out doesn’t have to be a sacrifice of weight loss, or progress, or reaching goals. You can stay on track or semi-on track when eating out. So, I decided to write about some healthy eating ideas in Downtown Lee’s Summit. See my tips below! Hopefully, some may help you out.
This list is made up of ideas to help “lighten the load” or avoid unwanted calories. These are just ideas. There are many tips for eating low carb, gluten free, vegan, plant based, low fat, etc. …but I will save those for another blog post.

When trying to eat healthier or save on calories, an easy idea is grab a take home box. Box up part of your food before you start eating, this will keep your portions on track. Then you can eat what you want, just less of it.
So next time you are in Downtown Lee’s Summit, try some of these suggestions, or just eat a smaller portion of your favorite meal.
*Note: Menu items change, this is as of 3/13/24. There are many great restaurants and eateries, these are just some in Downtown Lee’s Summit. I choose Downtown Lee’s Summit, since it is close to Life Transformations Personal Training.
