At Life Transformations Personal Training, we are still training clients. We have measures in place to ensure the studio always stays clean. Also, we operate in small numbers of clients, and have a staff of two. But not everyone has access to a facility with weights and exercise equipment. So here are some tips for In Home Workouts.
Many people use exercise to clear their mind, to feel good, social setting, or just stay healthy. Good news, you can still get in some “modified” workouts at home. You may need to think outside the box. Think about body weight exercises, items in your home you could lift as resistance, resistance bands you could buy, etc. Maybe even involve your family or challenge a friend/neighbor.
Homemade Weights or Resistance
I bet if you look around, you can find items with different weights. Here are some items I thought of. The tote bag of cans may seem funny, but it works. Add 2 or 15. Let’s be honest, I bet you have a lot of canned goods at your home.

- Put 5 cans of beans/corn in a tote bag or plastic bag (add or subtract cans to change weight)
8lb- 1 gallon of water
5lb- Bag of potatoes
