Thanksgiving is one of the biggest food holidays of the year.  A time to share a meal with family and friends. Now, let’s look forward to LEFTOVERS!  Leftovers are typically prevalent after Thanksgiving.  But, have no fear, here are some healthy-ish ideas for leftover turkey.    You (or someone) worked hard on the turkey, don’t let it go to waste.  Below are some easy ideas for leftover turkey. 

Thanksgiving Turkey Leftovers

Turkey Vegetable Soup

Turkey Club Sandwich

Turkey Cobb or Chef Salad   

Turkey with side of rice or potato

Turkey and Rice Bake

Avocado Toast with turkey

Scrambled eggs with turkey pieces

Turkey Quesadillas

Turkey Grilled Cheese

Turkey Club Wrap

 

Freeze turkey to use leftovers later.  Make sure to freeze turkey in a timely manner to get the most out of the leftovers.

Enjoy your Thanksgiving leftovers while saving a few calories.  Using your leftovers separately, instead of continuing to re-create a high calorie Thanksgiving meal will keep your health goals on track.

Go Black Friday or Small Business Saturday shopping.  Moving and walking is exercise.  So, take your turkey ideas and move forward to Christmas.
